The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, alongside Olori Tobi Phillips, has made public the names of their newborn twins.
The royal couple’s birth of twins has been widely acknowledged. As per customary practice, the Ooni performed the naming ceremony for the twins 8 days post-delivery.
Named in accordance with the traditions of Ile Ife, the princess received the names Adesewa, Oreade, and Oluwatamilore Ejide Ogunwusi, while the prince was given the names Adeshina, Oreade, Ejide, Oluwasemilore Ogunwusi.
A video that surfaced online showed Olori Tobi Phillips announcing the twins’ names from a document, with palace officials visible in the background. The Ooni was notably absent.
Reports indicate that, following tradition, the Ooni is presently unable to visit his twins
