Popular reality television personality Tacha Akide has asserted that a significant number of Nigerians residing in the United Kingdom are experiencing financial hardship. The former BBNaija star, who recently relocated to the UK, made this claim in a video she publicly shared.
According to Akide, many individuals in Nigeria are economically better positioned than their counterparts in the UK. She observed that a considerable portion of the financially struggling individuals she has encountered in the UK are merely “managing themselves.”
Akide’s exact words were:
“You see those of you always having inferiority complex in Nigeria, thinking everyone here is rich, most people here are broke. The most broke people I have met are actually the people I met in the UK. Everyone is holding themselves. It is expensive as f$ck. Most people in Nigeria are living better off than most people in here.”
