NPFL: Large turnout as Enyimba hold Remo Stars at half time

Despite the downpour, there was a  large turnout at Match Day 36 between Remo Stars and Enyimba FC at Ikenne, Ogun State on Sunday.

The hosts dominated the first half with Enyimba’s goalkeeper, Olorunleke  Ojo, putting up an impressive performance.

Remo Stars need a victory to maintain their third-place position on the Nigeria Professional Football League table.

Enyimba would leapfrog Rangers if they win in Ikenne.

In the 43rd minute, Remo’s Nduka Junior freekick was massively saved by Olorunleke Ojo.

Two minutes after, Qudus Akanni after turning his Enyimba marker inside out drags his effort inches off target.

Sadiq Abubakar gave Enyimba their first chance of the game, but he skied his shot in the 31st minute.

A win will cement Remo’s third position and a  2022/2023 CAF Champions League ticket.
