Nigerian content creator and media personality Kiekie has stirred emotional responses online after addressing the issue of insecurity and kidnappings in Nigeria during this year’s Children’s Day celebrations.
In a widely shared statement, Kiekie conveyed her anguish over reports of children still held hostage, revealing how deeply the situation affects her as a mother.
“It’s Children’s Day, but the children are not here; they are trapped in kidnappers’ dens. This is messing with my mind because I’m looking at my own child, fearing that God forbid, she might be taken from me.”
She also urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take decisive action to tackle the country’s worsening security challenges.
