Prominent clergyman Pastor Paul Adefarasin recently addressed his congregation regarding a viral video that had led to accusations of him possessing a firearm while in traffic. Speaking in church on June 8th, as reported by @lindaikejiblogofficial, Pastor Adefarasin clarified the incident.
The video depicted the pastor driving when a content creator began filming his vehicle. Upon approaching the individual, Pastor Adefarasin reportedly lowered his window and cautioned the creator, holding an object that viewers speculated was a handgun. Following an apology from the content creator, the pastor drove away.
Pastor Adefarasin asserted in church that the incident was instigated by “clickbaiters just looking for more money” and that he was “falsely accused of bearing a fire arm.” The event underscores ongoing debates surrounding the privacy of public figures and the evolving landscape of content creation in Nigeria.
